Mansehra: Torghar district education officer Zulfiqarul Mulk has dismissed 17 teachers for filing fake documents.
While talking to media reporters he said:
“I have dismissed 17 teachers from service after finding out that they had secured jobs on fake domiciles as well as certificates.”
The DEO said his department was working on the decision of taking legal action against those teachers.
He said that the head teacher of the Government Primary School Mushkot had been demoted after he was found involved in the misappropriation of parent-teacher council funds.
“I recovered the misused amount totaling Rs132, 000/- from the head teacher before ordering his demotion,” he added.

DEO furthermore says legal action is also under consideration.
Mr. Mulk said analyses into the alleged misuse of around Rs300, 000/- such funds at three more schools were underway and if corruption charges proved right, the related headmasters will be demoted after recovery of the spoils.
He said he had terminated the services of two teachers over the long absence from their duty.
The DEO said he will continue taking all important steps for the promotion of education in the districts.
