Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) is an initiative of the Punjab government introduced in 2005 and successfully organizing the 5th and 8th class exams across the Punjab province. Every year millions of students from Punjab province get registration of different boards and appear in the final exams. PEC generally starts the registration for all the boards of Punjab after summer vacations and it lasts almost two months.
Lahore Board contains three or four districts under its jurisdiction including Kasur, Nankana sahib, Okara, Sheikhupura and Lahore itself. Students belong to these areas can register themselves through respective schools. After registration process Lahore Board issues the date sheet and then sends the roll number slips to all the respective candidates.
PEC develops test and strategies to improve the standard of education at elementary level.
