One more agitating day of my pretty and charismatic life and the reason was the same --------- heartrending, hazardous and annoying situation of Pakistan, its so called detached leaders and above of all its dizzy and scattered nation. Sorry the word isn’t ‘NATION’ it’s ‘INDIVIDUALS’.
For many days a word was echoing in my mind and that was ‘REVOLUTION’. Some days ago I listened to someone saying, “Pakistan needs Blood Revolution. Nothing can change its destiny but just a revolution.” I was quiet and pondering, by implementing this statement on myself, if I also think in such a way and the answer was NO. I really neither knew the reason nor the right answers. That was the stage of self analyses. I started….
What does revolution mean and in what context that person was using the word REVOLUTION?? After contemplation and consulting the history I defined Revolution as, “Jumping to the next step, where entire entity is transformed and it’s disruptive.” Having this thought I went through many people especially the youngsters, the future of Pakistan. One of them was a student of 23 yrs old and very active participant of ISF (Islamic student federation). He continuously attends meetings of federation, goes with the rallies and also participates in such kind of other positive activities. I asked him ‘Do u believe in revolution?’ He responded in a very sparking style, “Yes of course. In this present situation of Pakistan the only way out is revolution”. I put further, “you are the member of ISF and participate actively, is all this the part of revolution in which u believe?” he beamed and replied, “NO”. I asked startlingly, “Then what’s the meaning of all these activities”. He paused and answered, “Look whatever we do there’ll be no change in our country. We need miraculous revolution. All I am doing is just because of my uncle who is strongly affiliated with this federation.” I was astounded and desperate because of this thought of intellectuals of our young generation. I thought the basic problem was our believe in revolution. We believe in revolution but don’t have revolutionist thought and if there’s such thought then no courage to do by ‘ourselves’. Simply we believe in “revolution by others” and this was the reason of my NO on the statement about “Blood Revolution” and the right answer was “revolution by me” that is also called “evolution”. Evolution means ‘To take increment steps towards your goals, over a long period.’
I just think, today the thought of revolution shows how far we are from our basics, fundamentals and roots. Because our thought isn’t only revolution, it’s “revolution by others”. Just come across the history of our fundamental, Islam, the best example of evolution. That shows evolution as the way of Almighty ALLAH. Islam was started by a single person HAZRAT MUHAMMAD (PEACE BE UPON HIM) and then steadily and gradually, with the help of many other hands, Islam was on its apex everywhere. If ALMIGHY wished couldn’t HE reveal the Quran in a day or two, why did it take 23 years? Answer is plain “The way of almighty is the evolution not the revolution”. Now take the example of slogan “INKALAB ZINDABAD”, before the time Pakistan came into being. We generally code this slogan and consider it as the best example of revolution. But we are completely wrong at this point because it’s not the example of revolution but a factual example of ‘revolution by myself’, that’s called evolution. Why don’t we people think ‘Islamic revolution 1971’ as the evolution? How AYATULLAH KHAMENI started it from himself gathered so many people and overthrew MUHAMMAD REZA SHAH PEHALVI. It took almost 11 to 12 years ---- Not a short time period. Today BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA as a President of America is considered as a marvel and revolution. Why don’t we think since when the Black Americans have been endeavoring and struggling for their equal rights and power? And finally in 2009 their struggle, self confidence and tolerance showed the color ----- The color of victory.
Revolution itself is neither off beam nor unrealistic but it should follow the evolution, where we start from our basics, fundamentals and roots. It takes time and demands determination, tolerance and self confidence. The nations who believe only in ‘revolution by others’ they never lead towards the acme of prosperity and if ever reach there they never sustain it. ALMIGHTY ALLAH has said in HIS Holy book: “YOUR LEADERS WILL BE THE WORST AMONGEST YOU” that means all is the matter of give and take. What you give to your surrounding so you deserve to get back, best for the best and worst for the worst. To have well it’s needed to do the best. To bring change there’s need to change ourselves practically, need to build the attitude of “YES WE CAN” and need to remember with positive attitude that “constant dripping out hollows out the stone”. There’s certainly need to start from I (evolution) that’ll lead towards we (revolution) and it genuinely pleas to move from INDIVIDUALS to a NATION.
