Admissions - Graduate Programs (Spring 2025)

Eligibility Criteria

PhD Programs

• Agriculture:

  • Specializations: Agronomy, Entomology, Horticulture, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Plant Pathology, Soil Sciences.
  • Eligibility: Relevant MS/MPhil/M.Sc. (Hons) or equivalent degree (18 years of education) with:
    • Minimum CGPA 3.00 (out of 4.00) or 1st division in the Annual System.

• Microbiology:

  • Eligibility: Relevant MPhil degree or 18 years of education with:
    • Minimum CGPA 3.00 (out of 4.00) or 1st division in the Annual System.

• Pharmacy:

  • Eligibility: MPhil/MS/Equivalent degree (18 years of education) with:
    • Minimum CGPA 3.00 (out of 4.00) or 1st division in the Annual System.

• Chemistry:

  • Eligibility: MS/MPhil in Chemistry or equivalent degree with:
    • Minimum CGPA 3.00 (out of 4.00) or 1st division in the Annual System.

• Management Sciences:

  • Eligibility: Relevant MS/MPhil or equivalent degree (18 years of education) with:
    • Minimum CGPA 3.00 (out of 4.00) or 1st division in the Annual System.

Additional Notes for PhD Programs:

1. Candidates must secure at least 60% marks in the screening test conducted by the university or an equivalent test (GRE/HAT General) accredited by HEC with a passing score of 60%.
2. A minimum of 30 credit hours of coursework or 24 credit hours of coursework and 6 credit hours of research/thesis is required for MS/MPhil/M.Sc. (Hons) for PhD admission.

MS/MPhil/MSc (Hons) Programs

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Relevant Master's degree or equivalent qualification (minimum of 124 credit hours) awarded after intermediate with:
   • Minimum CGPA 2.50 (out of 4.00) or 2nd division in the Annual System.

Program-Specific Requirements:

• Agriculture: Specializations in Agronomy, Entomology, Horticulture, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Plant Pathology, Food Science and Technology, Soil Sciences.
• Pharmacy: Pharm-D/B.Pharm or equivalent (minimum 120 credit hours) from HEC-recognized institutions.
• Geology: BS (4 years) in Geology with a minimum of 55% marks or 2.5 CGPA.
• Mathematics: 4-year BS in Mathematics or MSc in Mathematics with a minimum CGPA of 2.50.
• Computer Science: Relevant Master's degree or equivalent (4 years) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50.

Additional Notes for MS/MPhil/MSc (Hons):

1. Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in the screening test conducted by the university or an equivalent test (GRE/HAT General) accredited by HEC with a passing score of 50%.

   • Obtain from the Directorate of Admissions or download from the university website.
   • Submit by hand; applications received after the deadline will not be entertained.

3. Required Documents:

   • Three (3) passport-size photographs (attested).
   • Attested photocopies of credentials.
   • Domicile certificate and CNIC.
