MBBS and BDS Admissions
Admissions to Public and Private Medical and Dental Colleges in Punjab for Session 2024-25
As per the admission policy issued by the Government of Punjab on October 10, 2024, and the deadlines provided in the notification by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) dated January 3, 2025, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) has been designated as the admitting university for public and private sector medical and dental colleges in Punjab. Eligible candidates are invited to apply for admissions. The expected schedule for admissions is as follows:

Admissions will be subject to the number of selection rounds prescribed in the PMDC regulations and the instructions issued by the Government of Punjab. Candidates applying under the disabled quota must appear before the Medical Board with original documents, including a disability certificate issued by an authorized government medical board verifying the nature of their disability. However, such candidates will only be eligible to apply for specific reserved seats. The decision of the Medical Board will be final.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 2024 examination. For MBBS admission, a minimum of 60% (1100/2000) marks is required, and for BDS, a minimum of 50% (1000/2000) marks.

Foreign Applicants: Foreign or overseas Pakistani students must have completed 12 years of education from a recognized institution abroad. They must have a minimum of 500 marks in SAT II or an equivalent MCAT/UCAT score. Scores from 2023 or 2024 admissions may be used.

District Eligibility: For public sector admissions, candidates must be residents of Punjab, while for private institutions, applicants from any part of Pakistan may apply.

Applications must be submitted online as per the provided schedule. Late applications will not be entertained.

Candidates must upload scanned copies of their documents. Once submitted, applications cannot be modified.

If any candidate is found submitting false information or documents, their application will be immediately canceled, and legal action may be taken.
