About
Government Muhammadan Anglo Oriental College commonly known as Government M.A.O College is a government sector educational institute located in Secretariat Lahore. This college is one of the oldest education intuitions in Lahore, Pakistan.
The college was set up in 1933 as MAO College by Anjuman-e-Islamia at Amritsar and Professor S. Mercado was hired as the first Principal of the college. It actually played a vital role in the establishment of Pakistan. In 1947, after the independence of Pakistan, M.A.O College was shifted to Lahore.

Admissions
Government M.A.O college Lahore opens intermediate level admissions after the declaration of the SSC exam result. The college authority also publishes intermediate admission notices to inform the students regarding admissions. This year college also published its 1st year intermediate notice 2024 for the students who have passed matric exams and want to get admission at the 1st year inter level. Applying Process
Students who wish to apply for admission can get the prospectus along with the admission forms from the Admission office of Government M.A.O College Lahore and admission forms will be available till November 21, 2024. Students are required to submit their duly filled admission forms by the due date. No admission form will be accepted after the given deadline.
To apply for admissions students are required to follow the given steps.

Collect information regarding admission by visiting the official website of Colleges or by visiting the admission office.

Get the Prospectus along with the admission form from the Admission Office.

Fill out the admission form after reading the instructions carefully. Students are required to submit the admission forms along with the required documents within the given period of time.

One attested photocopy of the Character Certificate from the institution last attended.

4-duly attested passport-size photographs.

6-self addressed postal envelopes required at the time of admission.

Photocopy of Father/ Mother/ Guardian’s CNIC

A Migration Certificate in case of a Board other than the Lahore Board

After getting admission to the college, if a student has already registered with some other institute, he will himself be responsible for the cancellation of his previous registration.
