The Ghazali Institute was established in 2004 to serve underprivileged regions such as Malakand, Chitral, and Buner.

In 2008, the institute was permanently relocated to Peshawar.

Today, Ghazali is a recognized institution with students not only from all districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) but also from major cities like Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi.
