Which documents are required to submit along with admission form?
Candidates have to fill online application form with all required documents and must follow rules and regulations otherwise their admission form would be rejected.

How much admission fee I have to submit?
The admission form along with fee must be submitted before the deadline. BS (CS) Admission Fee is given below.

What does it mean online/ offline admission fee?
Admission processing fee will be charged as: For on-line admissions, Rs. 300 will be included in the fee voucher. For off-line admissions, Rs. 200 will be charged by the campus & Rs. 100 in the fee voucher.
Convocation fee will be charged from the students in the final semester of the respective batch.
What are specifications of BS (CS) program?
VU offers four year degree program in Bachelors of Science in Computer Science for the future Science and IT professionals. The program aims to provide graduates with a strong Computer Science base that will support them to take advantage from the increasing career opportunities and to explore innovative methods to computer related problems. Students can select an area of specialization according to their interest to strengthen their skills.
What is an eligibility criterion for BS (CS) course?
Applicants must have passed Intermediate (Part I and II, or equivalent examination) or I.Com or ICS or DAE or ‘A’ level examinations with at least 45% marks. The General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) ‘O’ levels and School Certificate (SC) examinations are considered equivalent to Matriculation, and the GCE ‘A’ levels is considered equivalent to the Intermediate examination. However, candidates having less than 45% marks will be eligible for admission after successful completion of “Zero Semester”.
What is meant by zero semester?
A Candidate Seeking Admission in BS(CS) program and have passed the prescribed examination but not having achieved the mandatory percentage of marks as defined by the university’s regulations are required to enroll in a zero semester (fall/spring) and achieve the required semester GPA in order to become eligible for applying for admission into the respective study program

What is the deadline for submission of application form?
The admission process ends in February but candidate can send admission form two weeks before the commencement of exam.

Is there any project or internship report essential to get BS (CS) degree?
Students have to complete a project of 6 credit hours in the final year of their BS degree program. They can choose final project according to their interest and skills. However, consultation with the student advisor is compulsory. Students have to submit a detailed report of the project and they may have to give a presentation.
How does the university assess the performance of students?
The students are assessed by continuous assessment throughout semester by giving assignments, on-line quizzes, Graded Moderated Discussion Boards (GMDBs), mid-term and final-term exams. The mid-term and final-term exams are conducted at VU’s nominated exam centers and usually count 80 to 85% of the total marks of a course.

Where do I study?
If you are a full time student then you can join any one of the more than 100 campuses of the Virtual University located in over 60 cities of the country and the list is available on the ilmkidunya website. Regular students can avail the opportunities of computer and Internet facilities which are required for student. However, if you are a professional or it is difficult for you to attend classes at a campus, then you can study from home. In this case you will need a television, and a computer with Internet connectivity.
How do I study through television and internet?
Course lectures are broadcast over free-to-air television and are also made available in the form of multimedia CDs. The Virtual University operates its own four television channels (VTV1, VTV2, VTV3 & VTV4). Students listen these lectures in classroom environment in virtual campuses. Lectures are recorded in a professional studio environment and after insertion of slides, movie clips and other material, become ready for broadcast.
From where can I obtain the lecture CDs?
Students can get CDs through the Virtual University bookshop (https://bookshop.vu.edu.pk). Not VU only students can get CDs but students and faculty from other universities as well as the public at large can get advantage from these courses. The instructions on these CDs are delivered in Urdu which help the students to understand and follow for all age groups.
Can I ask a question through internet?
Students can ask questions at any time over the Internet using the VU LMS (https://vulms.vu.edu.pk).
How do I appear for my exams?
VU establishes examination centers across the country. Exams are conducted under the supervision of the examiners. The university conducts the BS (CS) spring semester exams in July while fall semester exams held in the month of December.
