The University of Sargodha was established in 2002 by an ordinance of the Government of Pakistan Before, it was called the Government College, Sargodha. Sargodha University also offers BSc degree for private candidates residing inside or outside the city. Though it is a full time degree course but individual can also get degree as a private Learner. Every year thousands of students from Sargodha region and from other cities apply for the BSc private examinations.
The university advertises its admissions and describes criteria for its private students. Candidates have to follow rules and regulations and other procedure otherwise they would not be able to appear in the final exam.
