Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is seeking applications to appoint the Chairman / Chairperson of Press Council of Pakistan (PCP) under Section (6) and (7) of the Press Council of Pakistan Ordinance, 2002. In order to get maximum number of applications, the above mentioned post is le-advertised. The Pakistani citizens of eminence, repute and integrity are eligible to apply as per the following criteria:

Educational Qualification and Experience

Retired Judge of Supreme Court of Pakistan or person qualified to be judge of the Supreme Court is eligible to apply.

Tenure of Contract

The Chairman/Chairperson will be appointed for a period of three (3) years.

Job Description

The Chairman/Chairperson in his/her position will supervise the overall working of the Council as detailed in the PCP Ordinance, 2002.

 

Remuneration

The Chairman/Chairperson shall be entitled to salary, allowances and privileges admissible as per law.
