Peshawar: The Vice Chancellor of University of engineering and Technology, Peshawar Dr. Iftikhar Hussain, announced that the USAID has gave $20 million to UET Peshawar for finding pioneering and practical solutions to the energy challenges of Pakistan through USPCASE. He was addressing a high squad open forum discussion in Peshawar.
Dr. Iftikhar Hussain admired the efforts of USAID for the social and economic development of Pakistan via USPCASE and said that UET Peshawar has been doing its bit by assisting the USPCASE in finding the ambiguities causing disturbances in the energy zone of Pakistan.

He furthermore added that UET Peshawar has been proposing better energy solutions to the province and to the country as well.
The open forum discussion was arranged by US-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy (USPCASE), University of Engineering and Technology UET Peshawar.
A lot of noble personalities including Assembly Speaker of Khyber Pakhtukhwa Asad qaiser were present in the ceremony.
Asad Qaiser said that the Energy crisis has put the future of Kyber Pakhtunkhwa at stake and it really needs to be solved on urgent basis. He moreover admired the mutual efforts made by UET Peshawar and USPCASE for finding issues in the field of energy.

Further he appreciated the step of KPK Government to announce the USPCASE as a provincial think tank on the energy sector, further saying that the (USPCASE) should also work as an advisory board of Apex Committee on Energy Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
USAID is funding $127 million and has made to partner 4 Pakistani varsities along with 3 U.S. universities. It is supporting Pakistan for research in the zones like energy, water, agriculture as well as food security through USPCASE.
