Lahore: A female students at the University of Lahore has filed a case against a fellow student for raping her and after that forcing her to abort the resulting pregnancy.
The major suspect of the case has been granted pre-arrest bail for a day.
The rape survivor in FIR said that she was a student at the English department at University of Lahore and became friends along with an engineering student named Ishtiaq at the same university. Both of them met for the first time on December 10, 2015.
She further stated, after ten days the suspect took her to his friend named Dr Riazat Hussain at Ali Hospital in Thokar Niaz Baig, where she was also introduced to another man named Shabbir.

Afterwards, the rape survivor said she was given a glass of juice mixed along with intoxicants and she fell unconscious after drinking it.
After that the three men present there gang-raped her while she was unconscious.
The petitioner said the rape resulted in a pregnancy, which was confirmed by an ultrasound at the Shaukat Khanam hospital on February 26th, 2016.
She further added that Ishtiaq promised to marry her after learning about the pregnancy. On March 3rd, 2016, the couple went to Ittefaq Hospital, where they found out she was pregnant along with twins. But after few days, the suspect took the help of Dr Riazat and aborted her pregnancy of 16 weeks on March 12th, 2016.
The survivor got the FIR registered at Chung police station, Lahore under Section 376 of Pakistan Penal Code.

The section suggests the punishment of not less than 10 years for rape.
If two or more people in furtherance of common aim of all commit rape then, each of them shall be punished along with the punishment of death or imprisonment for life, it states.
Afterwards, Ishtiaq filed a pre-arrest bail, telling the court he had been caught up in a fake case designed to humiliate and black-mail him.
He further said that he had nothing to do with this case, which was registered by the petitioner in connivance along with the the local police. He requested the court to grant him bail.
The court has granted him bail till September 22nd, 2016 and fixed the date for cases.
