Islamabad, Unicef Pakistan has got €300,000 from European Union. The funds have been released from the European Union’s Nobel Peace Prize money for the promotion of education and will be provided to the needy students of Northwestern Pakistan.
In this regard a MoU was signed between Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the European Union in Pakistan, Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, and the member of Unicef Islamabad, Dan Rohrmann.
The aid will be provided through the Directorate General for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (ECHO) of European Commission and about 3,000 children among1, 500 will be girls in 30 schools will get this aid existing in the region.
The Nobel Peace Prize funds are supporting all the children who are ambitious to get education across the world, Wigemark said. He further said that educational support has been delivering in Jalozai Camp since 2008.
These funds will be spent on the training for teachers and to provide all the facilities to needy children for future development and enhance their skills. Rohrmann said on this occasion that EU are blessed by having such award of Nobel Peace Prize and will enjoy the educational facilities and supports for their children. The funds will enable the children to chase new ways and prove themselves at social networks and also worldwide.
Other facilities like health services, water, sterility and other lots of services will be provided them.
Meanwhile, As many as 36 Pakistani students will get educational scholarship by the Embassy of Azerbaijan the scholarships will be awarded to all the needy students of Pakistan.
The Ambassador of Republic of Azerbaijan Dashgin Shikarov inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Embassy of Azerbaijan and Inter University Consortium for Promotion of Social Sciences (IUCPSS) in collaboration with 12 Pakistani universities. It was decided in the MoU that a Heydar Aliyev Corners which will be established on the name of National Leader of Azerbaijan.
