UK Study Fair 2013 begins today

Karachi, The UK Study Fair 2013 has been started on Feb 07 at the Sheraton hotel and will continue from 11am to 6pm. The main purpose of this exhibition is to provide a platform to foreign students and highlight the accomplishments of UK universities and opportunities available to foreign students there. More than 30 UK universities will take part in the exhibition.

 Mrs Fiza Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Global Education Fairs and Conferences (GEFC), Britain while addressing at the location of UK Deputy High Commission said that future students desire to go abroad for higher studies are most welcome to visit the exhibition and all their inquiries would be answered.

Charles Campbell, the UK Deputy High Commissioner in Karachi, while addressing the GEFC, said that the visit of the educational delegation from the UK would leave a positive impact of the country through this exhibition.

He further said that around 30,000 Pakistani students getting higher education there.

Fiza Ahmed appreciated the UK High Commission in Pakistan for supporting their visit and also the Pakistan High Commissioner in the UK, Wajid Shamsul Hasan.

The next event of the kind, Ahmed said, would be held in November.

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) and Salford University, UK have signed formal Memorandum of Understating (MoU) to promote and increase quality education at different academic levels.

The main purpose of this agreement was to enhance present education system and developing academic, research and cultural exchanges.

AIOU Vice Chancellor Dr Nazir Ahmed Sangi and Salford University Vice-Chancellor Prof Martin Hall at Salford University signed the agreement.

According to the agreement, both universities will exchange direct contact and collaboration between their faculties and administration in the respective fields.

Both institutions will share their knowledge in the field of research and teaching activities and the expansion of new degree and training programs.
