Telenor Youth Forum 2016 now opens registration

Lahore: Telenor’s signature yearly event, entitled as “The Telenor Youth Forum”, is now appealing the applications for this year and you can apply now to be one of the two Pakistanis to attend this outstanding event that would be organized at the end of the year.

Previously known as Telenor Youth Summit, the Telenor Youth Forum is a youth-centric forum that is mainly targeted to attract the fanatical, young, opinion leaders who wish to influence the future of Digital in the entire world.

The theme of this year is “Digitalization of Peace” and is targeted to assist in transforming the world we live in by confronting the social challenges via digital solutions.

The successful applicants from Pakistan will also be able to attend the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony that will organize in the same dates as the forum.

For this event, Telenor will choose two individuals from Pakistan and total 26 candidates from thirteen countries in the Nordic region, Central Eastern Europe and Asia that the telecom giant operates in.

Afterwards, these 26 applicants will be invited to attend the Telenor Youth Forum 2016 in Oslo, Norway, in December on an all-expenses-paid tour.

Requirements:

The candidates who are interested in attending this ceremony are required to meet the following criteria:

The candidate must between 20 and 28 years of age in 2016;

Must be fluent in English

Must be a permanent resident in one of the following countries: Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Denmark, Hungary, India, Malaysia, Montenegro, Myanmar, Norway, Pakistan, Serbia, Sweden and Thailand

The candidate must be passionate about driving social, economic or environmental change in his / her community along with some proven experience;

Attending university or have completed his / her higher education

The candidate with big ideas and an aspiration to make a difference

Deadline:

Last date for submitting application forms is September 1^st, 2016.

Selection Criteria:

After the submission deadline on the 1st of September, a board of judges at Telenor will go through all the submitted applications. In September, all the qualified candidates will be informed by an email from the Telenor Group. After that the applicants will be selected by local judges and Telenor administrators.
