Students to be issued computerized Identity cards in Punjab

Rawalpindi: The children who will get admissions in the schools will be issued computerized identity cards that will help prevent fake admissions in schools or colleges across Punjab.

As per the records of the meeting headed under the chairmanship of Director Public Instruction Punjab the computerized identity cards will be issued to the aspirants in all the districts including Rawalpindi.

The identity cards will carry the bio-data as well as the relevant information regarding student that will allow the management of the schools to check the history of their educational career.

In the beginning, the Punjab government will launch the project of issuance of the computerized identity cards to the aspirants for 10 years.

It is important to mention here that some students prepare fake schools certificates as well as educational record to get admission in any other school. So the computerized identity cards will assist prevent this illegal practice.

The official record also presented that senior representatives of the education department will look out the proposals from the related experts to first launch the pilot project of issuance of the computerized identity cards to the aspirants in choosy schools in various districts.
