Spring Festival 2014 at UVAS from March 24

Lahore, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore is going to organize Spring Festival 2014 from March 24 to 29. Various competitions will be organized to celebrate spring and adding colors in life.

The events will be organized according to mention time schedule. On Monday March 24 the competition of Qirat & Naat, IDEAS, Scientific Exhibition will be organized the Declamation, Session by IDEAS, Scientific Exhibition on March 25; Quiz, Events by Music Society, Scientific Exhibition on March 26; Mushaira, Bait-Baazi, Calligraphy on March 27; Drama Festival, Pet Show on March 28 and Fun Fair, SAF (Still & Film Society), Prize Distribution will be organized on March 29, 2014.

The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore, was established in 1882 which is an oldest institution and got the status of well-known centers of teaching in Veterinary Education in Asia.

In June 2002, it was upgraded to the university level. Since then the institute is offering education in research, higher education, human resource development and poverty improvement. The university has established five faculties, two directorates, 21 departments, University administration and management.

The University offers postgraduate degrees, diplomas & short courses in areas of animal production and health, in computer science, statistics, livestock extension, economics & business management, wildlife and fisheries, etc.
