Islamabad: Gilgit-Baltistan is expected to get a new cardiology centre so that people suffering from heart diseases do not have to travel far to look for treatment.
A representative of the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan on Thursday said that the cardiology centre will soon be established at the G-B University in Skardu.

Aside from alleviating the sufferings of people in the mountainous region, the centre will also help in teaching medical students.
“The cardiology centre will [also] cater to the requirements of a large number of medical students [away from patients],” said the representative.
