Lahore, Punjab University Department of Applied Psychology has conducted the Basic Skills Training workshop for the students.
District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 Dr Ahmad Raza gave presentation on Rescue 1122: The Life Saving Force. Mr Azam, Ms. Firdous, and Ms. Marium were the main trainers, supported by other team members. After presentation, practical demonstration of medical first aid and firefighting was delivered to the students.
Department of Applied Psychology Chairperson Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Kausar, workshop coordinator Ms Shahnila Tariq, other faculty members and a large number of students attended the complete training and demo session. She also acknowledged the working of Rescue 1122 for the community.

Punjab University Examinations Department has released the schedule for submission of admission forms and fee for M.Ed (Visual Impairment), 2nd annual examination 2011 (session 2010-2011) and annual examination 2012 (session 2011-2012).
The last date for submission of admission forms with single fee is Dec 12, 2012, while with double fee till Dec 17, 2012. The examination will start from January 9, 2013.
Punjab University Centre for South Asian Studies has arranged a one day seminar on “Realizing Options, Outlets and Opportunities for Post – 2014 Afghanistan” in collaboration with Political Science at seminar hall of CSAS.
Director CSAS & Chairperson Department of Political Science Prof Dr Umbreen Javaid gave welcome address while the eminent speaker was Dr Najam Abbas Senior Fellow at East-West Institute, Belgium on Central and South Asian affairs. Dr Najam Said that war in Afghanistan had established new realities leading to new opportunities. He said that US wanted removal of its forces from Afghanistan but also wanted to confine the influence of China, Russia and Iran. Later, Dr Umbreen Javed presented souvenir to the guest.
