Punjab University ranked as 2nd best university of Pakistan in natural sciences field

Lahore: A world-class publisher of high impact scientific and medical information in print form as well as online, has issued its ranking of Pakistani universities in terms of research publications in the field of natural sciences and it has ranked University of the Punjab as second best University in Pakistan in natural sciences field.

University of the Punjab (PU) ranked as the second-best University of Pakistan in natural sciences field.

A representative of Punjab University in a press release claimed that the varsity in spite of being a government sector university had left large number of science universities behind in the ranking list.

As per the issued ranking list, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, University of the Punjab (PU), National University of Science and Technology, University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Bahauddin Zakria University, National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, University of Peshawar (UoP), Quaid-e-Azam University and Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences have secured from the position from 1^st to 10^th respectively.

In the meantime, the Academic Staff Association of University of the Punjab has congratulated the Vice Chancellor of varsity Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran on this achievement.

While talking to media, ASA President Prof Dr Sajid Rashid as well as Secretary Dr Mahboob Hussain said that this attainment was a result of research-friendly strategies of management of Punjab University which had taken several numerous initiatives to promote research culture in Punjab University and had supported the teachers of university.
