PU to organize Annual Sports Gala today

Lahore, Punjab University Department of Gender Studies is going to organize Annual Sports Gala on March 04 at 9:30am in the department’s ground and a large number of students will take part in it.

Moreover, 14th All Pakistan Geographical Conference will be held in the Department of Geography on Tuesday, March 05, 2013 at 9:30am at Centre for Undergraduate Studies Al-Raazi Hall. PU VC Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran will chair the opening session of the moot. A large number of Geography experts, faculty member and students will grace the event.

Annual convocation at Punjab University Hailey College of Commerce is scheduled to be organized today, March 04. PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran will grace the event. A total of 500 students will get awards and degrees will be awarded to B. Com (Hons) and M. Com and medals will be distributed among position holder students.

Punjab University Department of Gender Studies has conducted a workshop on “Documentary Making” for the students of 3rd semester, taking course “Gender and Media”. The main purpose of the workshop was to get assistance by Interactive Resource Center (IRC) and deliver them an opening to get practical hand on the media techniques. Around 30 selected students participated the session and three days in-door and 2 days out-door activities. The department will continue its support with IRC to deliver its students practical skills along with theoretical knowledge.

Punjab University Examination Department has issued the form submission schedule for B.S 4-Year Program, First Semester Examination 2013.

According to the notification, the Admission Forms and Fee for the First Semester Examination 2013 of B.S Four Year Program can be submitted with single fee till March 11, 2013 while with double fee university will receive forms till March 15, 2013.
 
PU has awarded one PhD degree to the scholar Abdul Majid S/o Muhammad Ibrahim in the subject of South Asian Studies after approval of his thesis on “Performance of SAARC as a Regional Organization in Comparison with ASEAN and ECO”.
