Islamabad: Pakistan Television Corporation and Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) on Monday introduced a joint TV production training program for the enhancement of the academic standard of multi-media-based open-distance educational courses.
Underneath this strategy, the Pakistan Television Training Academic will give away professional training to the producers as well as the designers of varsity, which are involved in development of the educational courses. In this regard, a 3-week training session was formally started at the main campus of university.
While inaugurating this training session, Vice Chancellor of AIOU Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui proclaimed that the varsity will soon start a huge human resource professional development program for renewing its academic as well as its non-academic staff regarding new developments and methods in their respective fields.
A Task-Force has also been formulated instantly to prepare the program within a month time that would cover University-funded professional training both at national and international level.
The main objective of this Task-force would be to meet the new challenges and up-to-date the staff along with the latest fast-growing contemporary changes, he said adding that “A learning organization requires to modernize as well as arms itself along with the latest developments in the comparative age.”
Dr. Shahid Siddiqui moreover said that AIOU is enthusiastically engaged in strengthening its Institute of Educational Technology (IET) to deliver the effective multi-media support to almost 1.3 million aspirants crosswise the country.
He also showed gratitude towards PTV for its support in improving the professional abilities of their TV-radio production staff.
Formerly, Director IET Mir Mukhtar Ahmed Talpur emphasized on the main features of the training program, expecting that it would prove a milestone in the professional training of their faculty on advanced lines.
Director PTV Training Academy Muzammil Ahmad Khan expected that their concerted partnership along with Allama Iqbal Open University would be advantageous for promoting the cause of education, via multi-media support.
