Muzaffarabad: The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK) has endorsed 22 grants for four-year bachelor’s programme under Pakistan-USAID scholarship programme 2016.
A representative of Azad Jammu and Kashmir University said that 22 aspirants belonging to various departments of university were selected finally from 49 shortlisted applicants.
These scholarships will cover tuition fee, hostel expenses, transportation as well as other expenses during the complete length of the programme at University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The 11 member’s selection committee was commanded by the Vice Chancellor of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Khawaja Farooq Ahmad.
Besides, senior faculty members of UAJK, a representative of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), as well as three members of the civil society, were also the part of committee to certify impartiality and merit in the grant of scholarships.
Dr Farooq recognize the value of initiative taken by USAID.
