Peshawar: The newly admitted aspirants of University of Engineering and Technology in undergraduate programme were given a warm welcome by the management, faculty, and senior students of the university on Wednesday.
While addressing the newcomers, Acting Vice-Chancellor of University of Engineering and Technology Professor Dr Iftikhar Hussain said that graduates of the UET were serving in various fields of engineering in the entire world.

“Some of them have reached to the highest designations in their respective fields, which shows the quality education provided to the students at varsity,” he added.
The VC of UET said that majority of the faculty at UET Peshawar were PhDs while the number of PhD faculty was increasing with every passing year.
He said that soon the UET Peshawar will introduce Outcome-Based Education (OBE) System, which will increase integrity of the university graduates all over the world.
The registrar of University of Engineering and Technology Dr Khizar Azam, Director Admissions Dr Misbahullah, UBL administrators, faculty members, a large number of students as well as their parents were also present on the event.
