Recently, Microsoft has announced a new professional degree program that will permit the professionals to chase university-level courses at any stage in their careers.
The main objective of this program is to permit the individuals to learn new skills as well as to arm them for high-technology jobs.
Entitled as “Microsoft Professional Degree” (MPD), is being offered by edX.org which is an online learning portal established by Harvard University and MIT.

Microsoft professional degree program being introduced by Microsoft is offering employer-endorsed, university-caliber courses that targeted to provide professionals along with basic education to fill gaps in the developing high-technology fields of modern era.
While speaking regarding newly introduced degree program, Steven Guggenheimer, a high-class Microsoft executive said:
“The Microsoft Professional Degree will be offered by edX and also through learning-as-a-service offerings delivered by partners, to meet growing training requirements of the consumers and to lessen the skills gap that we are seeing across a number of businesses.”
A main characteristic of this program is that it targets fresh candidates in the market and the people at their mid-career level desirous to strengthen their skill set and continue advancing in the competitive technology industry.

Through MDP, the participants will get access to irreplaceable real-world data, Microsoft’s tools and the open source community which comprises of Excel, Power BI and Cortana Analytics to R and Python.
