Peshawar: The Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies (IPCS) is employing the Interns for its UNDP funded Virtual Platform for Peace and Development (VPPD) project. The hiring interns will help the senior Project staff in mapping or web designing, data collection, investigation as well as in reporting.
Who can apply for this internship?
Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies needs the candidates from various educational backgrounds such as Post-graduate aspirants in:
· Social Sciences
· Computer Science OR Geography OR Urban and Regional Planning
· Journalism
· Statistics
Required experience for the internship:
· The interested candidates must have experience with research, comprising of data collection, data management, analysis (qualitative and quantitative) and reporting as well.
· The candidates must familiar with web designing, development and mapping utilizing the GIS software (just for Web or GIS interns).
· Strong computer abilities required. Successful candidates shall have an exceptional working knowledge of MS Office
· Exceptional oral as well as writing skills in English, Pashto, Urdu and additional skills in Saraiki language.
These positions are based in IPCS-VPPD project office at UoP.
This is a temporary incentivized position (Honorarium or Student income) for time period of six months starting first week of May 2016. The Interns will normally work 20 hours in a week.
