Lahore: Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore declared the final exams result 2016 of inter level on Saturday along with the passing percentage of 60.8%, which was comparatively similar to the passing percentage on last year’s inter result.
This year, approximately 90,827 appeared in inter level exams in different categories.
For this purpose, BISE Lahore board also organized a prize distribution ceremony in honor of position holders at Aiwan-e-Iqbal where Punjab School Education Minister Rana Mashood, participated as the chief guest of the ceremony. At the ceremony, he distributed awards and medals among top position holders.
The chairperson of BISE Lahore board, Muhammad Ismail, Secretary Rehana Ilyas, BISE Lahore Board examination Controller Nasir Jamil, parents of students as well as teachers also graced the event.

Gold, Silver and Bronze medals were awarded to the students getting first, second and third positions respectively, whereas the cash prize of Rs 20,000 was given to first position holders, Rs 15,000 to second position holders while Rs 10,000 to third position holders.
The aspirants getting overall first positions were also awarded along with the laptop besides cash and medals.
While addressing the ceremony, BISE Lahore Chairman Muhammad Ismail said that BISE Lahore was announcing transparent as well as timely results for last five years according to the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.

Furthermore, he said that the board is declaring free late results for last five years in a disciplined manner, which was being appreciated in education framework.
During his address, Rana Mashood said that on the instruction of Punjab CM, laptops have been distributed among the position holder girl students of 9th class as well.
