IIUI to conduct two day international conference today

Islamabad,  Faculty of Shariah & Law (FSL ) of the International Islamic University, Islamabad IIUI in collaboration with Islamic Research Institute (IRI), IIUI, Shariah Academy, IIUI, Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad and Al-Wastia Forum, Jordan is conducting two day International Conference on  Fatwa as a Non-State Legal System  today on December 3.

The initial ceremony of the conference will be organized today at Quaid-e-Auditorium, Faisal Masjid Campus of the university. Prof. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Rector IIU will preside over the ceremony while Prof. Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President IIU will be the chief guest on the occasion. Dr. Zia ul Haq, Dean Faculty of Shariah & Law is the convener of the conference.

Foreign as well as Pakistani Scholars will present their research papers in the conference including Maravan Al-Faouri, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ahmad Hassan Al-Qudh, Dr. Muhammad Ahmad Masallam Al-Khalailah, Dr. Zaid Al-Muhaisen from Jordan, Dr. Yahya Al-Umari from Saudi Arabia, Izzuddin Bin Zagheeba from United Arab Emirates, Dr. Abu Hazzaa Al-Ghamidi.

Foreign based scholars in Pakistan including Muhammad Bin Sa ad Al-Dausari, Cultural Attach of Saudi Arabia in Pakistan, Dr. Livia Holden, Associate Prof. LUMS and Scholars from IIUI including Prof. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh, Dr. Sanaullah al-Azhari, Prof. Dr. Al Daif Natoor, Dr. Ahmad Yousaf Jamal Al-Zamzami, Dr. Akram Badawi, Dr. Abdullah Rizk will also present their research papers.

The foundation of the Islamic University, Islamabad was established in November 11, 1980. This landmark of the beginning of the new Century symbolizes the aspirations and hopes of the Muslim Ummah for an Islamic renaissance.

The university aims to produce scholar and practitioners who are instilled with Islamic ideology, whose character and personality adapts to the teachings of Islam, and who are capable to provide to the economic, social, political, technological and intellectual needs of the Muslim Ummah. Islamic Research Institute and few other units like Iqbal International Institute for Research & Dialogue, Dawah Academy, Shariah Academy and Institute of Professional Development are situated within the locations of majestic Faisal Mosque (spread over an area of 189,705 square meters) which is a symbol of International Islamic brotherhood and unity.

In conformance with the Islamic precepts, the university provides academic services to men and women through separate campuses for each segment. These campuses, along with the central library, administrative wing and hostels, are located in sector H-10.
