Islamabad: Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan will establish University of Gwadar and a Campus of University of Balochistan at District Zhob to deliver educational facilities to the students of distant areas.
According to the representative of HEC, these projects were in lineup with China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and will contribute towards providing better higher Education facilities in Balochistan.

Listing other initiatives, the representative of HEC said, under the `University Access at District Level’ initiative, sub campuses of 16 government sector institutes and 15 sub campuses of the far-off learning universities will be established in stage-I of the project.
Skill universities at federal and provincial levels would be established which involve upgrading the National Institute of Science and Technical Education (NISTE) and establishing skill universities in Sindh and KPK.
To deliver the educational facilities in far off areas, the official said one of the important strategies would be to establish the University of Baltistan, which will be the second after the Karokaram University in Gilgit.

Higher Education Commission of Pakistan is also working on the concept of the smart universities, which will be associated with campus, and will assist in making better environment for learning from anywhere in the university.
The first Science and Technology Park will also be constructed under the project “Establishment of National Science and Technology Park at National University of Science and Technology (NUST)”.
