HEC National Research Programme for Universities 2016

The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan is appealing the applications for NRPU research awards for various research domains. This program under NRPU is offered for national researchers as well as the faculty members of various public and private sector universities of Pakistan.

Higher Education Commission has initiated this program to meet the present challenges of researchers working in local universities / DAIs of Pakistan as well as to promote the R&D with facilitation.

Eligibility Criteria to apply for the program:

• The candidate (Principal Investigator, PI) should be a full time faculty member of a public or private sector varsity.
• He/she should have an innovative academic degree and the related research experience.
• Principal Investigator will run just two projects at once either there cost would be within the eligible amount or less consistent with his impact factor.

Time period:

This grant will be offer to candidates for a time period of almost three years. However, there is no restriction on the lower limit.

Purpose of Award and Research Domain:

These research grants are presented on competitive merit for high-level as well as promising scientific research projects to be carried out in by the teachers of university.

The main objective of these awards is to promote scientific research in the regions related to national requirements. Furthermore, this program provides support for research projects in the following fields of studies:

1. Engineering and Technology
2. Social Sciences
3. Management Sciences
4. Humanities
5. Agricultural Sciences
6. Basic Sciences
7. Medical Sciences
8. Natural Sciences

Applying Procedure:

• The application forms are available at the official website of HEC in MS Word format. The Soft copy of the application should be submitted through email before 10^th May 2016. Four hard copies are required to be submitted by registered mail/courier to HEC.
• The applicants are required to mention discipline and zone specification and project title in the subject line of email in following Major/Minor/Project Title (Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/Project Title)
