Islamabad: Higher Education commission of Pakistan has stopped the operation of the Al-Khair University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) and has warned students across the country from “getting admission in the university”.
Al-Khair University, Azad Jammu & Kashmir has been banded by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan from enrolling students from fall 2016 onwards for all academic levels.
Representative of HEC, while talking to media said that this decision had been taken because of the mismanagement observed in the running of the university.

Furthermore, HEC has advised the aspirants as well as their parents against enrolling in any branches, campuses and affiliated colleges of Al-Khair University and also warned them that the degrees of the students enrolled in the university after fall 2016 will not be recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Some sources said that this decision was made after several complaints regarding the university being involved in selling degrees to the aspirants.
