HEC awarded 79,554 scholarships to graduate and postgraduate students during 2015-16

Islamabad: Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan has granted total of 79,554 national and international scholarships to the scholars of Ph.D / Post-Doctoral, MS and M.Phil during the academic year 2014-15.

As per the official sources of Higher Education commission, these awarded scholarships involve 2825 PhD or Post-Doctoral scholarships, 50296 MS or M.Phil national scholarships that come under PM Fee Reimbursement Program and 26433 Undergraduate national scholarships that comes under HEC and US Need Based Programs.

Furthermore, total 271 aspirants go on abroad for PhD during the academic year 2015-16 whereas 4,412 Pakistani aspirants have been sent abroad under HEC sponsored scholarships programs for PhD studies up till now.
