Last year, 17 years old girl Malala Yousafzai became the youngest personality to ever receive a Nobel Peace Prize intended for her spirited struggle as well as her activism for the rights for all children to receive education in Pakistan.
Now, Yousafzai is the subject of a documentary, named as “He Named Me Malala”, and this documentary is released by Fox Searchlight Films. Fox Searchlight Films has attained all the international rights to the documentary “He named me Malala” for release in the end of this year. Earlier, film studio has exposed a trailer for that documentary that is produced by Davis Guggenheim, who also heading for the Oscar winning film “An Inconvenient Truth” as well as “Waiting for Superman” documentary.
The trailer of this documentary starts along with the awful shooting of Malala Yousafzai by Taliban, who felt their selves in danger by the message that she had sent on her blog in support of education, especially for the girls’ education in Pakistan. However, after recovering from her injuries of shoot by Taliban, Malala became an international celebrity and she also continued her support for the rights of children especially for education.
This unveiled trailer also displays Malala Yousafzai as a normal young girl because she spends her time along with her family and also teases her brother just like other brothers and sisters do. In the trailer she also says that "I''m still a young girl".
We moreover come to know that father of Malala named his daughter after Malalai of Maiwand, a nationwide folk hero of Afghanistan.
At the end of trailer she also says that "My father just gave me the name Malala; but he did not actually make me Malala".
Last year, in October 2014, Malala Yousafzai awarded with a Nobel Peace Prize for her continued activism and support foe education. Furthermore, she published a biography named as “I Am Malala”: in which the story revolves around the girl who stood up for education and was shot by the Taliban. This biography of Yousafzai was written by Christina Lamb. But, a lot of private schools in Pakistan banned that book.
“He Named Me Malala”, a documentary by Fox Searchlight Films will be in cinemas on 2nd October 2015.
