Lahore: The government of Punjab has planned to distribute 1 lakh laptops among the intelligent and brilliant students during 2016-17.
In this respect, a meeting was organized in the Civil Secretariat on Wednesday and the meeting was presided over by the Punjab Minister for Higher Education Syed Raza Ali Gillani.
Secretary Higher Education Nasim Nawaz and representatives of P&D, Finance, Punjab Procurement & Regulatory Authority, Higher Education and Punjab Information Technology Board was also present there.

As per the press release, the meeting reviewed the obtaining procedure of 1 lakh laptops. Provincial Secretary Nasim Nawaz gave a presentation to the partakers of the meeting.
He said that the laptops will be latest and top brand. On the ceremony, Provincial Minister Raza Gillani said the laptop scheme had wholly helped the aspirants to keep pace with latest happenings in their respective subjects.
It has also benefitted them to know regarding the advanced education concepts. The education vision of the CM is to provide world-class quality education to the aspirants so that they will be able to provide the best leadership to the country in every walk of life.

In the meantime, as per the press release, Ambassador of Republic of Belarus to Pakistan Mr Andrei Ermolovich called on Punjab Minister for Higher Education Syed Raza Ali Gillani at his office.
On the event, Secretary Higher Education Nasim Nawaz was also present.
