GCUF inaugurates college of physical therapy

Faisalabad, College of Physical Therapy and College of Allied Discipline has been set up at Government College University Faisalabad which will start BS programs and Associate Programs to provide medical education in the division. 
 
Faisalabad Division Commissioner Dr Ijaz Muneer initiated it in a ceremony and has been established under the Directorate of Medical Sciences. GCUF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zakir Hussain chairs the event and said that in any general university it is the first program in its nature which has been initiated. Directorate Director Dr Riaz Hussain Dab, Science and Technology Dean Dr Naureen Aziz Qureshi, Dr Owais, Dr Asif Saleem, Dr Samiya, Dr Rafia, Kiran Fatima, District Emergency and Rescue Officer Rana Tariq were also present on this occasion.

 The certificates were awarded to the applicants of Third Basic Life Support Program. The commissioner promised that modern services would be given to students on health matters. Prof Dr Zakir Hussain urged the students to work hard and make efforts for the betterment of society.

He said the university is working hard to provide quality of education in the campus so that proficient output can be taken. 

Meanwhile, GCUF has also released the revised schedule for the submission of examination forms of BA/ BSc (composite) for first annual exams 2013 an also for private and affiliated colleges.

Form can be submitted with single fees till April 3, 2013 while with double fee from April 4 to April 9 and for the triple fee from April 10 to April 12. Only those candidates can apply who have appeared in BA/ BSc 2nd Annual Composite/ Part 1 or 2 supplementary examinations 2012.

GC University, Faisalabad is a leading center of learning and research and has got a significant status. The University with its energetic faculty and innovative syllabi has become a substance of intellectual, social and industrial change. The university is working hard to deliver education in almost all the major fields of learning.

The GC University firstly started functioning as a primary school in 1897 in the present building of Govt. College for Women, Karkhana Bazar, Faisalabad. Further it was promoted to High School and Intermediate College in 1905 and 1924 respectively.

Then it was upraised to the degree level in 1933 and postgraduate disciplines were introduced in 1963. The university got the degree awarding status in October 2002.
