GCU wins Declamation Contest 2013

Lahore, All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest 2013 has been won by the Debating Society of Government College University Lahore which was planned by the Allama Iqbal Medical College (AIMS).

Debating Society President Saad-ul-Hassan got the title of best Urdu speaker at teh declamation contest and third position was taken by GCU student Khwaja Yaseen in the English debates. The team trophy was also won by GCU. Vice Chancellor GCU Prof (Admirable) Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman acknowledged the team on winning the contest.

The Government College, Lahore got the status of a University in 2002 and became a seat for higher learning. It was renamed as the GC University Lahore. The GCU is working to enhance and promote quality of education across the country.

This Institution is one of the oldest seats of higher learning in the Muslim world. GC University joins old traditions and modern educational standards to meet the international standards established the by persons like Dr. Leitner, philosopher the poet, Dr. Muhammad Iqbal and the Noble Laureate, Dr. Abdus Salam.

The University offers B.A/B.Sc. (4-year Hon.), M.A, M.Sc. (in some selected disciplines), M.B.A., M.Phil, and PhD programs in all major disciplines. The University with Motto: "Courage to Know." try to make the students intrusive, thoughtful and independent in chasing knowledge.

GCU also takes distinct procedures through discussions, co-curricular activities, writing of term papers and studies to make the learners confident in their understanding of advanced themes and topics.
