Lahore: Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Lahore (BISE Lahore) announced the results for inter part 1 annual exams 2016 on Monday along with an overall passing percentage of 59.12%.
As per the officials of board, 135,069 candidates took the exams out of which 77,780 candidates were declared successful.
The chairperson of BISE Lahore board, Prof Chaudhry Muhammad Ismail announced the results of HSSC part 1.

In pre-medical group, 18,829 candidates passed the exams out of the total 25,958 candidates who sat the exams.
The passing percentage for pre-medical group was remained at 73.95%.
While, in the pre-engineering group, 19,585 candidates sat the exam out of which 13,968 candidates were declared pass along with the passing percentage of 72.78%.
In general science group, 19,653 candidates sat the annual exams out if which 10,452 candidates were declared pass along with the passing percentage of 54.27%.

In commerce group, 9,982 candidates passed the inter part 1 exams out of the total 18,906 who took the exams. Passing percentage for the commerce group remained at 54.3%.
In arts group, total 50,961 candidates sat the exams out of which 24,549 candidates passed the exams along with the passing percentage of 49.83%.
While declaring the final exams results, Prof Ismail instructed the authorities of BISE to make sure regular as well as private students received their result cards timely.
BISE Controller Nasir Jameel and Secretary Rehana Ilyas were also present on the event.
The chairperson of BISE Lahore Board also ordered the officials to cooperate along with the aspirants coming to the board office seeking information regarding their results cards or papers.
He furthermore instructed them to make sure the teachers, who performed duties during the examinations, were paid on time.
