FCC initiates PhD program in Biotechnology

Lahore, Forman Christian College University, Department of Biological Sciences is going to initiate a new PhD Biotechnology program for future professionals.

The course will be helpful for all the aspiring students who want to avail the openings in research projects, agriculture and in the field of health and environment.  The program is being started in the Fall semester 2013.

The range of complete modern and up-to-date tool will be in the access of students like PCR-Thermal Cyclers, Refrigerated Tabletop Centrifuge, Real-time PCR, Ultra Low Freezer, Electroporation, CO2 Incubator,   Nano Drop Spectrophotometer, ELISA, GC-MS, Atomic Absorption Spectrometer, Fast Prep Bead Beater and lots of other tools.

Other facilities like nine spacious research labs, six sumptuous general labs, two climate control rooms,  Animal House, Greenhouse, Botanic Garden and Natural History Museum will also be provided to the students.

Candidates will be eligible if they have a minimum CGPA or 70% marks set by the HEC criteria or First Division in the Annual System in MPhil/MS or equivalent.
Students who want to get admission in the PhD program must submit GRE subject (biotechnology/ biochemistry/microbiology) score with 60% score.
