Peshawar: Teachers belonging to Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) and Frontier Region (FR) Bannu on Tuesday staged a protest against the Director Education FATA for allegedly making hurdles in the up gradation of teachers.
Teachers of FATA and Bannu demanded of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra to transfer the FATA Director Education as soon as possible.
The annoyed FATA teachers while carrying banners along with placards inscribed along with various slogans in favour of their demands, gathered at Sher Shah Suri Road opposite Cantonment Railway Station as well as raised slogans against the concerned director.

Malik Abbas Ali and Nawab Afridi were leading the campaigners alleged that the FATA Director Education was unconscious of the basic matter being faced by the tribal belt teachers.
They blamed that the said director since assumption of charge put at risk the FATA education whereas billions of rupees allocated for the equipment of schools located in tribal areas were also wasted because of the inexperienced director.
