Karachi, Bahria University Karachi Campus has opened summer admissions 2013 at Masters Level and last date to apply is June 07, 2013.
Admissions are open in Post Graduate Diploma in Logistics and Port Management which is based on one year, Executive MBA in Logistics and Port Management. The course ExMBA consists of 2 years and based on nine specialized courses of logistics and port management and fourteen management courses.
University has also opened admissions in certificate courses (Maritime) and duration of these courses is consist of 4 months. The courses include port development; operation and management, shipping operation and management, fishery management and operations, port terminal management, logistics supply chain systems and methods, ship brokering and chartering, admiralty, shipping and marine environment law and coastal zone management.
Application forms are available and can be submitted till June 07 while classes will start from June 15, 2013.
Candidates are eligible if they have bachelor’s degree or equivalent education with Min 50% marks or 2.5 CGPA and intermediate with work experience in Maritime sector.
Performance bases scholarships are available for needy students.
Meanwhile, Bahria University Karachi Campus has opened admissions in MBA weekend program for summer semester 2013. The university is federally chartered HEC recognized and “W” Category University.
The admissions are open in various arenas of MBA: Finance, Marketing, HRM, MIS, Supply Chain Management, Entrepreneurship, Pharmaceutical, Health Management, Logistics and Maritime, PGD Logistics and Port Management.
For MBA 2 years candidates must have 16 years of education with 50% marks or CGPA 2.5/4. For MBA 3.5 years applicant must have CGPA of 2.5 out of 4 or in case of annual system, 50% marks are required.
The university offers foreign qualified and highly experienced faculty, video conferencing room, virtual learning facility, graduates research lab and Wi-Fi enabled for all students, access to HEC digital library resources, merit scholarships, award of medals and 2% seats for disabled candidates.
