Islamabad, As many as 36 Pakistani students will get educational scholarship by the Embassy of Azerbaijan the scholarships will be awarded to all the needy students of Pakistan.
The Ambassador of Republic of Azerbaijan Dashgin Shikarov inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Embassy of Azerbaijan and Inter University Consortium for Promotion of Social Sciences (IUCPSS) in collaboration with 12 Pakistani universities. It was decided in the MoU that a Heydar Aliyev Corners which will be established on the name of National Leader of Azerbaijan.
On this occasion he said that the MoU aims to set up Heyder Aliyev Corners in all the respective universities which will support to build up relationships between these two countries. All the needy students studying in the respective universities will be eligible to get scholarships.in this regard a ceremony was held observe the 90th Anniversary of Heydar Aliyev by Diplomatic Insight at Higher Education Commission Islamabad and IUCPSS. VC’s of several universities and their representative were also present on this occasion.
HEC Chairman Dr. Javaid R. Laghari admired the efforts of Azerbaijan and said that HEC is always there to support such efforts for the prosperity of the country. He further said that such cooperation in the field of education will also open new doors for other industries for the development of the state.
IUCPSS Founding Chairperson and VC of Islamia University Bahawalpur Professor Dr Muhammad Mukhtar expressed his views by saying that in past years with the support of HEC the IUCPSS has established 12 famous higher education institutions for the collaboration between national and international institutes.
Vice Chancellor Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur Professor Dr. Parveen Shah, Vice Chancellor Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad Professor Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Vice Chancellor Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan Professor Dr. Ihsan Ali, Vice-Chancellor University of Haripur Professor Dr. Nasser Ali Khan, Vice-Chancellor Govt. College University Faisalabad Professor Dr. Zakir Hussain, Director IMS Peshawar Professor Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan and Chief Editor, Pro-Rector COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Islamabad Dr. Haroon Rashid, The Diplomatic Insight Muhammad Asif were also present on this occasion and expressed their views on different facets of mutual relationship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. They were hopeful that collaboration between these two countries will open many links.
