Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will introduce the ‘Scholarships and financial aid’ soon for the minority students including the Christian community in Pakistan permitting them to continue their further studies.
In this regard, a plan is being finalized.

The vice chancellor of the university during his address to the Christian employees at a function organized here on Thursday just before Christmas Day said, Allama Iqbal open University (AIOU), as a mega University in the government sector, wishes to fulfill its responsibility of meeting the educational requirements of the people crosswise the board.
The function was mutually organized by the Project Directorate of the university and Employees Welfare Association. Dr Muhammad Zaigham Qadeer, Engr. Sharifullah, President Malik Muhamad Saeed and General Secretary Sher Asif Satti of the Association were also present on the event.

AIOU is in the process of launching a new academic program on the religions of the world, and will seek the support of the well-known preachers for enlisting the chapter of Christian communities, said Vice-Chancellor.
A big Christmas tree will also be placed at the front of the central library to join Christian workers in their happiness.
