AIOU reschedules CT and B.Ed exams 2013

Islamabad, The annual exams of CT and B.Ed courses for autumn semester 2013 under Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will be organized on May 14 and 15. Before this the exams were scheduled to be organized on April 24 and 26 but university cancelled them due to instability in Karachi, Tando Allahyar, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and Tando Adam.

On May 14 the papers of CT course Code 632 and B Ed Course Code 651 and 2605 will be conducted while the papers of CT Course Code 638 and B Ed Course Code 512 and 2600 will be organized on May 15. Moreover the centres and timings for CT and B.Ed exams will remain same according to the schedule. 

AIOU has a vast network of regional centers across the country which is providing educational services in Pakistan in the Middle East. AIOU is a Distance Education institution which is offering multi-disciplinary education from basic to doctoral level programs.

The university has established 36 regional campuses and centers across the country to manage and facilitate efficient system of education of the university. The qualified teachers and experts of several fields of study in their area and the university hire them as part-time tutors. Each group of students is assigned to a tutor for guidance.

AIOU already has 36 to 40 campuses all over the country, the number of these campuses will be increased to 39 within this year, the VC added. He appreciated the gesture of some public representatives and well-to-do people who had offered land to the university free of cost for building new campuses and study centers in various regions.

AIOU has been focusing on expanding its academic network to wide-ranging areas and providing education to the neglected regions of the society.
