Advance teachers training necessary for quality education, says PHEC chairman

Lahore: The chairperson of Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) Dr Nizamud Din has said that teachers’ training on advanced standards for promoting the quality education is of great significance.

During the inauguration of 4th international conference on ‘Education and Research’ at University of Education, he said that the provincial government is spending a massive budget for the betterment of education zone, justifiable development as well as for executing innovative reforms to meet the professional standards.

The Vice Chancellor of University of Education Prof Dr Raufe Azam headed over the conference whereas the Division of Education Director Dr Intizar Hussain Butt presented the welcome note.

The main objective of conference was to discuss the present challenges as well as issues by highlighting the main purpose plus various approaches of research and education and also to make a reliable forum for efficient learning. Over 92 scholars are presenting their research papers on various tactics as well as the features of education whereas the well-known scholars from Germany, England, Canada, and Saudi Arabia as well as from some other prominent nations are also participating.

While addressing the ceremony, head of Punjab Higher Education Commission Dr Nizamud Din said that education and research is the actual base of well developed countries. He said that “Our basic responsibility, being the educationists, is to control as well as to manage the issues and challenges related to education”.

Furthermore he said that the appointment of College Teaching Internees (CTIs) in various departments of colleges crosswise the province on empty seats is an educational friendship step of government. “The main objective of research work of national and international scholars is to serve and improve field of education in the right sense so that the dream of an educated and affluent Pakistan can come true.”

Vice chancellor of Government College University Dr Hasan Amir Shah, Vice Chancellor of UVAS Dr Talat Naseer Pasha, earlier Vice chancellor of University of Education Dr Munawar Mirza, Chairperson of NACTE Riazul Haq Tariq, Controller Examinations Dr Ashiq Hussain Dogar, Registrar Dr Manzoom Akhter, the directors and principals of university, national as well as international scholars, famous educationists, intellectuals, teachers and a large number of aspirants were also present at the ceremony.
