Gujrat, University of Gujrat, Department of Psychology is going to initiate admissions in M. Phil Weekend Program. Interested candidates can apply for this program till April 26, 2013.

Moreover, The Department of Botany has planned to conduct Expo/Exhibition of various kinds of Flowers plants on April 25, 2013 in B.S Block 1st floor at 09:00am.
All students of Botany department are invited to partake in this event and exhibit their models and other flower products. Different ideas and themes for various types of flower arrangements and landscaping will be presented by the students. This will be an interdepartmental contest of all the students of Botany to give an passage to the students for their creativity.
Initially, the Zamindar Educational Association set up a high school in 1921 and Zamindar College in 1937. Students belonging to districts of Attock, Jhelum, Mianwali and Sargodha, as well as Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) got an interest in this institute. Then the Gujrat was declared as the Khita-e-Yunan ((part of Greece) of Punjab.
In 2003, the University of Gujrat was came into being by the Punjab government. The university aims to enable the youth in various fields such as economy, social policy and research to meet the international standards of modern era and obtained superiority in research and teaching in all programs. The university is also working to establish an outstanding centre of excellence in the industrial triangle of Gujranwala, Gujrat and Sialkot to support the trade and culture through research-based enterprises.
The university also offers vide range of degree programs from BS (Honours) and MA/MSc to MPhil in several fields. A law college and a medical college have also been set up at the university. The Nawaz Sharif Medical College has just started working and academic activities have been started.
