Abdul Sattar Edhi passes away

KARACHI: Abdul Sattar Edhi passed away on Friday evening after fighting long with his illness, local media channels reported.

Edhi was put on ventilator after he was reportedly having trouble in breathing. He was undergoing treatment at Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation, Karachi.

His funeral prayer would be offered today at Memon Mosque.

Edhi’s son, Faisal Edhi earlier requested the nation to pray for his father’s recovery as he was in critical condition. 

Soon after the news, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah announced a three-day mourning.
